Winter Wonderland

 

Last week, temperatures were in the 70s (F) and some of my friends – who are new to Texas – thought Spring had arrived. Ha!  Today we’re back down in the low 30s and it’s been raining all day. Consequently, the trees on the lakefront are iced over beautifully. It’s a winter wonderland out there.

I like that last one best, especially the contrast of those icy branches against the evergreens on the other side of the lake.

As my grandma (a true Texan) used to say, “if you don’t like the weather, just wait a while.”
